In his formative years, Zhou grappled with the challenges of being overweight, which restricted his participation in sports and many other facets of life. However, as he transitioned to a new school for his secondary education, Zhou embarked on a journey to change that narrative. He took up basketball, rugby, and even started swimming. Over time, he not only excelled in varsity rugby and JV basketball but also diligently worked on his physical health. The world of sports instilled in him values such as commitment, discipline, and resilience, which he now applies to every aspect of his life to continually strive for excellence and never back down.
As a committed student, Zhou transforms his passion into action. He excels in school, notably in business and science, earning high achievements. Zhou has steered his band to a Nationals medal and led the award-winning percussion section. Beyond academics, he initiated a project to introduce electric vehicle chargers, ensuring sustainable impact at his school. Additionally, he co-founded the Social Justice Club and actively contributes to his community. Zhou serves as the head of the East Asian Heritage Society and excels as a student house captain, overseeing 80 boarders. His diverse interests encompass participation in Model UN, the investment club, and varsity rugby and basketball.
Looking ahead, Zhou aspires to enroll in a prestigious US business program, where he intends to learn from and forge connections with future global leaders. His ultimate goal is to leverage his education to establish his own business, dedicated to innovative solutions that can reshape the current landscape, particularly in ways that benefit the environment and ensure a brighter future.
