Xiuwen's enduring intrigue with the concept of being a lifelong learner has driven him to dedicate the past few years to shaping his identity as someone committed to ceaseless exploration and knowledge absorption for intellectual growth.
From a young age, Xiuwen’s innate curiosity led him to explore a variety of activities, including Kung Fu, drawing, swimming, cooking, theater, choir, and piano, among others. His fascination with Kung Fu began during kindergarten, instilling in him perseverance and patience. Although he eventually moved on from Kung Fu, he continues to embody the resilient mindset, approaching each endeavor with enthusiasm and a determination to learn gradually. His enduring pursuit of new experiences continually broadens his interest and knowledge. Ultimately, Xiuwen’s diverse experiences have taught him the vital lesson of valuing perseverance and patience, which remains a cornerstone of his approach to learning and life.Â
Xiuwen consistently excels academically, achieving Honor Roll in Middle School and top grades in high school. Beyond academics, he shines in acting and music, with upcoming significant roles in school plays and membership in both concert and chamber choirs. These choirs offer annual tours and a European performance in 2023-2024. In debate, he earned top 2 and top 3 finishes during middle school, keeping valuable skills. He was recognized on the distinguished honor roll for the 2022 AMC 8 Math Competition with an impressive score of 24/25. He’s also an active member of the JV boys school team, contributing to the school’s athletic success with multiple state championships.Â
Xiuwen envisions attending a university to excel in his chosen field, aspiring to become an expert and make meaningful contributions in the future.
