Shanaya Hiranandani

Future of International Relations,
Youth Advocate

Shanaya is a culturally curious podcaster and debater with a strong passion for making people culturally aware and connected to their roots. Over the past few years, she has dedicated herself to social literacy, medicine, and welfare. Her commitment to these causes is reflected in her published research paper in over 6+ journals on how menstrual practices are affected by culture, a study backed by extensive fieldwork and rigorous research.


Her interest in culture and social awareness was sparked by her experience at a diverse boarding school, where she interacted with peers from across India. This exposure to different perspectives and traditions ignited her passion for cultural exploration and deepened her understanding of the importance of staying connected to one’s roots.


Shanaya's accomplishments reflect her drive and dedication. She was recognized as the Top Intern out of 75 other selected interns at the National University of Singapore for her outstanding contributions to a corporate initiative program by GlobalCert. For her work in social literacy, her case study won gold in regionals (top 6%) and par excellence at nationals  Additionally, Shanaya has excelled in various language Olympiads, earning accolades at both national and international levels.


In the future, Shanaya aims to delve deeper into international relations, with a particular interest in diplomacy and global engagement. She is eager to continue her journey of learning and advocacy, with the goal of making a meaningful impact on the world stage.
