Roselyn Jin blends her passion for environmental science with a diverse array of academic pursuits. Known for her exceptional memory and logical acumen, she excels in her studies. Roselyn's creativity shines through her handcrafts, reflecting calmness and patience, while her commitment to extreme outdoor sports showcases her vitality and love for life.
Roselyn considers handcrafts an integral part of her growth. Introduced to crafts in elementary school, she found that working on them helped her relax and forget her worries. Initially following her teacher’s instructions, she soon sought out more advanced techniques on social media. However, not all crafting brought relaxation. A particularly complex rug project tested her patience, but completing it gave her a great sense of accomplishment and perseverance. Over time, she began creating her own designs and fell deeply in love with crafting. This journey has instilled in her strength, perseverance, and a willingness to rise to any occasion.
Roselyn studied six subjects in grade 10, including three AP subjects, all of which earned five points on this year's AP exams. Her grades in the six courses have been consistently in the top 3. Roselyn often participates in various competitions and has won the national Silver award in two mathematics competitions. This year, she successfully advanced to the global round of the HOSA Life and Health Competition through the global 4% advancement quota. Outside of school, she participates in the school's student council and is also the founder of the handcraft club. She has assisted in many school events such as the Graduation Ceremony, Mid-Autumn Festival, Halloween, and other event days. In her spare time, Roselyn likes to do handcrafts and has sold her handcrafts for charity. She also always leads family trips and is fully responsible for all the itineraries.
In the future, Roselyn aspires to attend a top university and pursue a career in environmental science, where she can continue to combine her academic strengths with her passion for making a positive impact on the world.
