Rachel Pan

Future of Business,
Youth Advocate

Rachel is a passionate and dedicated student who is determined to serve her community. She has transferred her skills in piano to playing for the church and charities like Cabaret. She is committed to learning and growing through her involvement in school service clubs, competitions, debates, sports, and more.

Believing in giving things a shot before judging them, she has learned to love piano after initially resenting it. Embracing new challenges, she tried table tennis despite not considering herself athletic. One of her challenges is overthinking, such as worrying about being a good captain before the season started, but this motivated her to practice more and work hard.

Rachel Pan is an accomplished student with diverse achievements. She has received the Chinese Literature & Culture Award, the Student Service Award for her Fiji Project work, and placed in the top 60 in the International Public Policy Forum. Academically, she excels in Honors Geometry, Honors Algebra 2, AP Precalculus, Honors English 10, AP Literature, AP World History (scoring a 5), and AP Economics. Extracurricularly, she is a Concordia Leader for the Fiji Project, an APAC Table Tennis Runner-up for two years, an ACAMIS Girl’s Doubles Runner-up, an NHS member, the Table Tennis Captain, and an MUN Admin Leader. Rachel has achieved ABRSM Grade 7 Distinction in 2023, won gold at the Brahms International Youths Piano Festival in 2022, second prize at the JS Bach International Open Music Competition in 2023, and bronze at the Starlight Cup National Youth Piano Competition in 2023. She has over five years of experience as a piano accompanist for her church, interned at Petwish as a social media intern, attended a UCLA summer course in Marketing & Social Psychology, and had her art featured in a SchoolArts article.

Rachel aims to utilize the opportunities she’s been given to make a greater impact, become financially independent in the future, and give back to her parents.
