Punn's basketball journey began in Grade 5 but wasn't without trials. In Grade 8, his first year at a new school, he faced a setback when he failed a trial. Undeterred, during the ongoing Covid lockdown, Punn refined his fundamental basketball techniques with daily post-zoom class training. Two years later, in Grade 10, his perseverance paid off, earning a spot on the JV team, initially as a benched player. Passion for improvement drove him to seek more training, and by Grade 11, he secured a starting position and became a coaching assistant for the varsity team. Punn's ability to overcome failures illustrates his willingness to push beyond perceived boundaries, believing that dedication can surpass expectations.
Initially a reserved student, Punn questioned the purpose of learning while staying inconspicuous at the back of the classroom. However, he soon recognized the brain's potential and learning's role in development. Though he sometimes pondered the practicality of obscure math concepts, he understood their value as brain exercises. This realization inspired his journey of self-education to expand his mind continually.
Currently, Punn seeks to work with his father's business, expanding his learning beyond school to entrepreneurship. Delving into his father's records, examining balance sheets, cash flows, and financial statements, he gains valuable insights. Punn aspires to establish his business, driven by outperforming his father's achievements. Understanding the business through observation and occasional maternal feedback, Punn seeks to apply his unique perspective for improvement and greater success.
