Future of STEM,
Youth Advocate

“It’s not who I am but who I aspire to be.” If Jio could speak to his younger self, he would have never imagined becoming the person he is today. This is not a sign of lacking confidence, but rather a testament to the power of a strong will in making dreams come true. His younger self would be astonished by the challenges he has overcome. If Jio could impart one piece of advice to his younger self, it would be to never doubt his own abilities. Though Jio has many regrets from his past, he has learned that no mistake is greater than God. Developing a closer relationship with God has been the best decision Jio has ever made, allowing him to see the plans God has had, is currently making, and will make for him.

Jio's true transformation began this year when he founded a nonprofit organization called SciFun. It focuses on helping the most underprivileged children in JABODETABEK (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi). From foster children to those living in extreme poverty, many in slums, landfills, and under bridges, SciFun has reached over 1,000 children and visited more than 15 locations.

In addition to his charitable work, Jio has achieved significant personal accomplishments. He won a gold medal in a national-level basketball competition and has earned multiple medals in research and math competitions both nationally and internationally. Looking ahead, Jio aims to build connections and gain valuable experience to create a brighter agricultural future for Indonesia. He also plans to continue improving and expanding his nonprofit organization and hopes to establish a free dormitory for the most underprivileged children in Indonesia.
