Mehtab Sangha

Mehtab is an intellectual who finds great value in engaging with individuals who challenge his perspectives. His passion for both politics and economics stems from his belief in the fact that the connection between the two is overlooked. Mehtab aspires to learn more about economics and finance. He intends two studies the two in university.

Since his early years, Mehtab has been fascinated by finance. His initial encounter with the topic occurred when he started receiving a monthly allowance and had to handle his money responsibility. Initially, he would spend his funds without much thought, but he soon realised that he had to create a sustainable budget. With determination, he honed his skills and improve his financial management. Until the Covid-19 pandemic struck. The government responded by printing more money, resulting in inflation. This prompted Mehtab to delve deeper into the complexities of economics and develop a keen interest in how poor political decisions can progressively tighten the financial constraints of individuals. This fueled his drive to become an expert in economics and educate others on money management to better prepare for unforeseen circumstances. 

Mehtab is acclaimed for his exceptional problem-solving skills, inside and outside the classroom. He earned top marks in business and history classes and delivers inspiring speeches on optimism. As Student Council Treasurer, he skillfully negotiated event prices and achieved a record surplus. He led a successful fundraiser, raising $1000 USD for families in need. Now as President, Mehtab continues to organise impactful events for students and contribute to the community. At the Model Parliament of Ontario, he championed financial literacy as Deputy Leader, presenting the Financial Literacy Bill in the Legislative Assembly. Mehtab's expertise in finance and persuasive communication drive his advocacy for change.
