Mao's commitment to dance empowers her to express herself and share compelling stories, instilling a fearless pursuit of her aspirations.

Beyond her dedication to the arts, Mao is an engaged student leader within her community. She holds pivotal roles in two essential councils, serving as one of just eight members of the DEI Student Leadership Council and one of five members on the Student Philanthropy Council, where she champions local NPOs by providing grants. Mao's leadership extends to her role as a prefect for sophomore dorms, nurturing her burgeoning leadership skills. Her diverse experiences include earning Japanese middle school and high school diplomas, founding her school's inaugural dance company, and engaging in impactful outreach activities, including camp counseling, choreographing performances for nursing home residents, teaching dance to individuals with disabilities, and assisting with food packing for those in need before school.

Looking ahead, Mao aspires to major in Performance Studies and Sociology, driven by her vision to foster a more equitable society where individuals can achieve continuous self-improvement.
