Leo, the tenacious athlete from Tokyo, is passionate about swimming and water polo. His enthusiasm for studying business drives him to work towards creating a greener, more sustainable world.


Leo’s athletic journey has been marked by multiple injuries, each teaching him valuable life lessons. From wrists, back, shoulder, to foot injuries, he’s learned the crucial art of resilience during tough times, pushing himself to become a better version of who he is. Through this experience, Leo has discovered the importance of addressing his weakness to prevent recurring injuries or mistakes. This mindset not only influences his approach to sports but also serves as a guiding light when faced with academic and life challenges. In the face of adversity, Leo doesn't shy away; he embraces alternative solutions and acquires new skills, showcasing unwavering determination and adaptability.


At his rigorous school, Leo is a standout student with a high honor GPA. He thoroughly enjoys delving into history and science. His dedication led him to receive recognition as the top student in his advanced Japanese language class. Beyond academics, he actively contributes to the Asian Advisory Board, leads the Japan American Society, and co-heads the profit-generating business branch of the school newspaper. Additionally, he engages in community service by teaching swim lessons. Outside of school, Leo completed an internship at Uber, focusing on marketing and UI/UX. Currently, he's passionately working on a project to recycle vanilla beans, with the aim of making a positive impact on his community.


Leo’s aspirations reach high as he dreams of attending a top university to pursue his interests in both business and science. His goal is to have a profound influence on his surroundings, and he looks forward to forming meaning relationships while continuing to pursue his hobbies, like working out.
