From a young age, Ellen has harbored a deep fascination with the environment, fueling her desire to explore its countless forms across the globe. Her travels have not only allowed her to immerse herself in the natural beauty of various countries but also to understand the intricate interplay between nature and culture. An exchange program in England and America during her primary years was particularly illuminating. It was there Ellen formed lasting friendships and developed a keen awareness of the environment. These experiences have enabled her to observe the diverse cultural landscapes shaped by historical legacies and to reflect on the dynamic evolution of the environment in the face of development.
In her academic pursuits and extracurricular activities, Ellen consistently strives for excellence. She has achieved commendable grades in her Environmental Science and AP Language classes and has made notable accomplishments in competitions, securing gold medal in iGEM 2023 and achieving 5th place in the East China division of USAP 2020. Beyond academics, Ellen is an active participant in volunteer work, contributing her time as a laboratory assistant and library volunteer. Her dedication and hard work have been recognized with several school awards, including titles that translate to “Elite Student” and “Special Merit Student.”
Motivated by her experiences and accolades, Ellen is now focused on pursuing her higher education at a leading university in the United States, aiming to further her impact in environmental science and global cultural exchanges.
